We are excited to welcome all rising 1st through 8th grade students to register for Camellia Waldorf School’s Summer Program! Registration is through Jumbula, families will need to create an account to register. If the session you are interested in is full, please sign-up for the waitlist. You will not be charged to be on the waitlist.

Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27

Food, Music & Stories of Latin America (rising 1st - 3rd grades)
Join us on this tour around the Americas! We will visit five countries - Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia - cooking and tasting dishes that are representative of their culinary heritage, listening, singing, and dancing to their folkloric music, creating art inspired by their most famous painters, and honoring their indigenous people by listening to their stories and legends. Food, Musica & Stories of Latin America is taught by Camellia's Spanish teacher, Maestra Lulu. This class is offered to rising 1st through 3rd graders.
Volleyball (rising 4th-8th grades)
Learn to Bump, Set & Spike with Coach Jarrod! Students will learn how to play volleyball in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Students more familiar with the game will get opportunities to deepen their skill set and scrimmage.
Monday, June 30 – Thursday, July 3 (closed July 4)
Handwork (rising 1st-3rd grades)
Ms. Iman Hassan, second and third grades Handwork teacher, will lead the children on a fiber arts journey. All skills welcome.
Sew Fun! (rising 4th - 8th grade)
Participants will be introduced to sewing essentials, including sewing machine basics and hand stitching by our beloved Ms. Jenny Woods. Working with up-cycled materials, students will make creations and learn different skills like how to adorn with appliqués and make fun, handmade detailed work.

Wild Canvas: An Invitational, nature-inspired Art Experience (rising 1st-4th grades)
Amy Alstatt, artist and Camellia parent, will lead the students on a therapeutic experience focusing on sensory grounding activities that restore and feed joy while exploring materials and nature to foster self-discovery and empathy.
Advanced Woodworking for current Camellia students (rising 4th-8th grade)
Open to Camellia Waldorf School students only, this week-long summer Woodworking session with Mr. Bones is designed for rising 4th through 8th graders. Students will explore woodworking techniques such as sanding, rasping, whittling, and gouging while creating their own projects under Mr. Bones’ expert guidance.

Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18

Open to all Woodworking (rising 1st-4th grades)
Rising 1st through 4th graders will enjoy a hands-on week of Woodworking with Mr. Bones! Students will be introduced to fundamental woodworking techniques such as sanding, rasping, and applying oil, while working on engaging, age-appropriate projects under his expert guidance.
To ensure a high-quality experience, we are limiting this class to only 15 students so don't wait to register!
Visual Poetry: Where the art of language meets the technique of collage-making (rising 4th- 8th grades)
Iman Hassan, 7th and 8th grade teaching assistant, will lead students on an exploration of language through fun games and they will learn different poetic forms like haiku and odes while creating visual art like collages and illustrations.

Open to all Woodworking (rising 1st-6th)
Rising 1st through 6th grade students will enjoy a week of Woodworking with Mr. Bones. He will lead students through introductory woodworking projects and techniques such as sanding, rasping, and applying oil. To ensure a high-quality experience, we are limiting this class to only 15 students so don't wait to register!

The cost is $359 per week ($287 for the week of July 30) and Aftercare is available for an additional fee of $150 per week ($120 the week of June 30) and is offered 1:00 p.m- 4:00 p.m. Price includes materials fee and credit card transaction fees.

Cancellation Policy: A family may cancel registration before May 18 and receive a full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee. After May 18, there will be no refunds. We reserve the right to cancel sessions for any reason (including insufficient enrollment), with the full cost of enrollment refunded.
